Re: Ammo prices set to rise again?
I thought Vista Outdoors sold the ammunition part of the company to a Czech company earlier this year. Did that change?

Re: Ammo prices set to rise again?
Something I heard while in a gun shop about a year ago is related.
Shotshell powder got really scarce, as in almost non-existent and word around town was that shotshell powder is what was being used in Howitzer and/or mortar rounds and the sudden demand created by that little skirmish in Ukraine took most of the shotshell powder from the commercial market. It sounds feasible, but it was gun shop talk and that's similar to "barber shop talk" of years ago. You just don't know how credible anything is or what the sources are.
IF there is truth to that, and now the skirmish in Israel and the uncertainty of what Bidet might get us into next I could easily believe that manufacturers are being "coaxed" into supplying the military sector before the private sector and we all know if anything causes even the slightest interference in the supply chain prices are going to go up and a reversal of that supply variance never brings prices back down as quickly as they go up, (if they ever come back down).
There's a gun show in Lebanon this weekend, (Saturday and Sunday), maybe I'll go out and see what kind of rumors I can pick up there.
EDITED to change incorrect information: I originally stated that the Lebanon gun show would be Friday and Saturday. That seemed odd, but the advertisement I saw Tuesday said Jan. 19, Jan. 20.
I just checker the Eagle Shows site to check times and admission price and saw that it is indeed Saturday and Sunday, which is Jan. 20 and Jan 21 by my calendar.
Copied and pasted from the Lebanon Expo Center web site:
https://lebexpo.org/events/
"Eagle Shows Gun Show: www.eagleshows.com. Show Dates and Times January 20-21, 2024 Saturday 9am * 5pm Sunday 9am * 4pm Ticket Prices Adults Single Day Ticket $9 2 Day Ticket $15 Children 12 and younger always free!"
END OF COPY/PASTE.
Parking has always been free at the Lebanon Expo Center gun shows and I didn't see anything to indicate that it has changed.
300 tables, not a huge show, but usually a decent show.Last edited by mauser; January 19th, 2024 at 08:24 AM. Reason: To change incorrect information

Cheap ammo and reloading supplies... nonexistent.
Buy what you can now.
With the buffoonery at the international level, don't expect inflation. Look out for hyperinflation.

Re: Ammo prices set to rise again?
Careful with that M-1 money supply chart. They changed how it was calculated in 2020 (where the chart says Biden) so that is why the graph shot up. It did go up some with the covid stimulus money but it is dropping some now.
