Which do you prefer Conceal or Open Carry?

Not much good without a round chambered, 2011 in Condition 1 chambered in 9mm.

5.7 beats 9mm in damage, and both in capacity. No recoil.

Love my FN Five Seven but it's to bulky for concealed carry. I could get away with it in the fall and winter but spring/summer in T-Shirts I may as well just open carry it.

Gents- wanted to see what your thoughts were on preference and why. I know a lot matters where you live but would you prefer to carry one way over the other? Do you ever mix it up?

Concealed. I see no reason to let a potential adversary have additional information about me, attract attention or potentially deal with busy bodies with whom I have no interest in interacting.

There used to be a member here (banned now) that was big into these when they first came out. Have they gotten smaller?
The one I was looking at last night wasn't real big. I thought they were big guns, shoot though 3 cop's vests.. I wasn't impressed.
There was a gun there that impressed me, a FN something in double action.

While I'm going to say I don't have a preference, or if I ever state some kind
or preference it is that folks carry without concerning myself in how they carry.
I'm just happy when more folks carry at all.

That said I guess open carry is just more comfortable for me. I have a conceal
carry holster I have used only once. Rather uncomfortable and printed like crazy.
I have 2 pistols I use for carry and both are full size 5" barrels and full size grips.
So If I were to change to full time CC I would be looking for smaller pistols anyway.

I agree that where you live/work/carry can make a difference. Example, I have only
been to Philly once and I went OC. I don't really like the place though.

So, I OC from the time I get up and get dressed until I go back to bed. Every day, every
place I go. Counting through every single "encounter" I have had going back to 2008,
whether with the public or law enforcement, all have been very positive. From the start
I wanted to see if many of the arguments against OC had any merit. Well, not in my case.
YMMV.
I like the idea that some OC and some CC. I like the mix.
I save the flag grips for special occasions or holidays.

What make is that holster? I have a Galco and it constantly snaps my safety to ‘off’ for me. That one looks as if that won’t happen.

If I’m OC-ing a pistol, I also will have a rifle… and a plate carrier, and shit has probably gone all Mad Max.
