I got yelled at by my Colonel for my salute when I reported to my first duty station. I’d just spent 5 months on an Army Post, and with Marines, and Army personnel. Lots of high ranked Army and Marines around. The salute is actually the same across all services, but Air Force somehow gets relaxed. I tried to keep mine high. It got difficult when I had to watch E5 and 6s address O2and 3s by first name.
It was like Boy Scouts without the moral standards.

this is just a baby step away from ordering military members to not vote for Trump.
I see this also becoming a future reality for other government employees, such as police officers.
