I live a mile from Green Lane reservoir, there are game lands galore and other places you could go. Montg. county is densely populated and a place where city slickers such as yourself go to escape the shite hole that is Philly. Cheers and Merry Christmas!!
No one is arguing against prohibiting shooting, at least I'm not. But a lot of signs illegally purport that mere possession i.e. carrying is not allowed, which of course cannot be the case due to preemption.

Where is the picture or screen shot of any "no carry or possession" rule?
I'm not seeing it, and I'm not driving all the way there to look and take pics.

No shooting? Public park? Public place? Well no shit Sherlock.

I don't get the point of this thread. Anyone?
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

No signs in the parks delineate firearm carrying prohibited. If you have LTCF you can basically carry wherever you want except where outlined in the State Law. IMHO...anyone who carries a firearm should KNOW THE LAW!!! Anyone with a wifi connection can educate themselves.

Disagree. There are plenty of other laws that would cover "reckless" behavior with a firearm. The prohibition effectively criminalizes the lawful use of a firearm if/when employed for justified self defense.

Do you know what is covered under the (except under special condition established by the PTHS) part?

Montgomery County is preempted from making their own gun laws. Carrying in a county park is legal and preempted by State law.

I didn't see anything ban worthy. Maybe he was previously banned and tried to come back.

He stated he wasn't new. That he was here before and "left". That thread is gone now
