As several others have mentioned; clean it up and shoot it!

I've got a left-handed 1100 magnum with a 3" full barrel and a 2 3/4" barrel choked improved cylinder. The improved cylinder barrel does great on the sporting clays field shooting "Gun Club" or similar target loads.

I do have to warn spectators, though, that this is a LEFTY gun, and the shells are going to be flying out in the opposite direction!

I’m also about to refurb an 1100. Got one from family a couple years ago… haven’t shot it since I was a teenager.

I converted a 1100 for tactical use. If you'd like a picture of it, IM me a cell number and I'll text you a pic.

Essentially took a 2 3/4 chambered 1100, removed the wood stock and original barrel (so it can be changed back to a traditional gun for field use).

Installed a plastic stock and fore end. The butt is black, the fore end is camo as its what I could get and aesthetics were not a high priority. The new butt stock would accept sling attachments (a bonus).

Bought a barrel that had been cut to 25 inches and cut it further to 19.5 inches. Not a $220 barrel, so that was a big win on the $$$ side..

Bought some spare o-rings (the one wear item).

The one thing that we are both 10+ years too late on is finding a replacement "tactical" carrier release as the stock release doesn't allow for fast loading.

There is an aftermarket product that replaces the carrier release to permit quicker loading. I have one but have not yet installed it. It's Daves Metal Works Easy loader.

requires a bit of filing on the shell carrier to fit the part.

Last...I put heavy duty velcro on the left side of the receiver to hold soft shell holders.
