    Default 2 new shooters

Well. One of them is 75 and his wife wanted to learn how to manipulate their new Taurus G2c.
We did a 2 hour pre shooting session to review Coopers 4 safety rules and the basics of stance, grip etc etc.

We followed the outline I put together just to help instruct new shooters.
Those are notes for me to expand on as we went thru the session.
A week later, we did a 2 hour range session at 3 yards.

Pretty positive with the exception of the pistol trigger.
Granted it's a $200 gun and not my first choice but it's what they chose so We will make it work.
The G2c has what feels to be a long trigger pull which feels like a 2 stage trigger.
Pressing thru for the shot, it has an intermediate hard stop. I expected the shot to break just after the stop but as I pulled further, it went past the stop till the shot broke at the end of the pull.
I called Taurus who said this is by design.. I don't care for it but as I said it's a 200 dollar gun.

Him ad his wife knew the 4 safety rules that I wanted them to memorize.

We have more work ahead of us and I expect quite a few more sessions till it comes easier to both of them.

We got to loading and charging the pistol. Both had issues with racking the slide so I showed them.how to do so by pushing the gun forward while holding the slide stationary.
We loaded 3 rounds at a time.
They had trouble with trigger reset and follow thru.
It'll come. They got tired. We called it.
They enjoyed the session a d looking forward to continuing.

I shot pretty good at 3 yards as I checked the function of their pistol.

Good for them. Was his wife 22? If so, good for him!

    Hooked another one.
My good friends grandson just bought an AR.
    I gave my buddy 4 mags for his grandson. 2 20s and 2 30s.
He texted me thanks and wants to go shoot with me.
I told him I'm a stickler for gun safety, sent him a copy of Jeff Coopers 4 safety rules and said he gets tested before we load a mag.

Features I like about Taurus G 2 or G 3,has a saftey, adjustable sights at least on the G 2,double strike ability,12 round mag and grip is very good for a $ 200 firearm. Congrats .
