WASR or PSA GF3. PSA has more expensive options but the GF3 starting at 599 is hard to beat.

WASR's, SAR1 are both fine choices with WASR's being a little more crude. If you want one that runs like a sewing machine get something chinese. The romanian ones will show you what trigger slap is.

My Century WASR 10/63 with 1973 trunion date has made me very happy since 2008. Sight is perfect. Mag conversion well done. The one thing that needed attention was substantial trigger slap, which was easily corrected.

Degrease with non-chlorinated brake cleaner then paint with this stuff



The Parkerizing acts as a pretty good primer. Wait for it to dry then rub the residue off with a paper towel. You'll be amazed at how much better it looks.
