I didn't say legal, i said limbo. As in it's yet to be determined. Even the video you posted today supports this. It's in the judges hand. I wouldn't get caught with one even though I'm supposed to be legal simply because someone may not be the most up to date with the current law as it stands.

Also have a SP5 and as you said, much above what the OP wants to spend. As far as the AP5 goes, for what they*re selling for right now it*s IMO an easy choice of what*s on his list.
I have a new MKE shortie and I couldn't get it to fire one round without jamming. Put in that extractor spring and it's been 100%. Are they still under $1k? Definitely worth that. Is the HK 2.5x better? Probably not, but the pretentious HK snobs would say 10x better.

AP5 in flavor of your choice, but the M has been at PSA for $899, it's a stupidly obvious choice. Roller delay results in the best shooting dynamics you've ever felt.

Let's be real, PCCs aren't actually serious use contenders compared to rifles, so go for something that's fun overall even if it has 'outdated' manual of arms.

By the time you're done buying all the millions of aftermarket parts to make the Scorpion more reliable, more durable, more comfortable, you will have spent enough money to buy three or four Extar EP9s. If I'm paying that kind of money for a Skorpion, I'm at least getting one that's gonna be fun like this one in 9mm Mak.

The Uzi is too damn heavy. I have one, I know.

I like the MP5 and Scorpion platforms. However the Scorpion is more modern and on reloads hitting the bolt release makes reloads far faster.

Agree with what others have said about the MP5 and its clones. They get the win. The AR9 does have some things going for it, using glock mags, some better triggers and controls (arguably), and a LRBHO on some uppers. But they just don't "feel" as good to me. I don't have any experience with the Scorpion. But I do have a lot of experience with older designs, the Sten, PPS-43, Uzi, PPSh-41, etc. They are all fun and functional, but I'll take an MP5 clone over them if I can only have one.

You're right. At that price you can't go wrong. When they dropped to that $900 price point, I grabbed an 'M'.
