    Question Marlin glenfield 25

I dry Fired This rifle a Couple of times Without a snap cap. My buddy just said I just ruined the firing pin. It will be a while before I get to the range to find out if I did or not. My question is "do you think I ruined it". The suspense is killing me. Joe

Naw. It should be OK. Highly recommend snap caps though. If you look at the chamber you can see where the firing pin hit. I've had a Marlin 25 for 50 years, and have done this accidentally many times.
It still fires. But now I have snap caps in it all the time.
