Escaped Prisoner in Chester County

Phoenixville police say 34-year-old Danelo Cavalcante escaped from Chester County Prison in West Chester Thursday morning. He is described as 5 feet tall and 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, gray shorts and white sneakers.

Who is Danelo Cavalcante?

Cavalcante, is a native Brazilian who illegally immigrated to the United States after a warrant was issued for his arrest for murder in his home country in 2017, investigators said. He first traveled to Puerto Rico, where he obtained a fake ID, and then to America, according to evidence presented during his trial earlier this month.

He settled in Chester County because he had friends that had arrived here ahead of him, he later told police. Cavalcante worked for a while in construction and other trades, prosecutors said, and rented a storage trailer that he parked at a lot in East Pikeland Township.

I don't know what the deets are but he was just found guilty yesterday and the crime was committed in Schuylkill Twp, which is a Phoneyville address. I'm guessing that the trial was in West Chester and he escaped after the trial somehow.

Chester co. prison is in the middle of nothing. I always hated that prison the most. Unless he has a major head start dogs should be able to track him. He may have had a support network set up due to the remote location, however that would take some serious planning.
