Does the sheriff run each application by Katie Muth?

Walleye Hunter? They would ask if you're an article from Field and Stream.

York County checking in. I have not listed reference or employer
information since 2008. I was told back then (by the Sheriff's Deputy)
that employer info was not required. I also followed up with the references
I listed at the time, they were never contacted. Which makes sense because
    my LTCF was issued immediately.

There has been at least one instance of the issue of references going to court
involving privacy concerns, and references could not be a reason to denial.
I'm sure this is not common knowledge, unfortunately.

State law provides that a citizen has a right to privacy regarding both the application
for LTCF as well as the subsequent issuance or denial. Hard to maintain privacy when
    references are involved.

    YMMV
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I’m in Delco. One of my references lives in New Jersey.

I'm in Delco as well, back when I got my first LTCF not only did they contact both references they contacted my employer too. From the first renewal forward no one has been contacted.

Bradford County Sheriff likes to break the law by saying there is, and refusing to accept applications from people who don't comply.

The list of sheriffs who think the law doesn't apply to them is getting longer and longer...
