    Probably had a better chance of hitting the cat if he wasn't so concerned with filming the encounter. Makes me wonder if he was dragging some raw meat just out of view to induce the cat to attack in order to get the footage.

    Yeah, I'm suspicious, but people do stupid shit for $$$ and glory.

    Yeah, and if I was hunting elk, I would have my rifle at the ready, not one-handing a compact pistol, in any caliber.

    That would make more sense, so I’m guessing it may have been elk archery season.

    As for the cam, it appears centered and not moving so I think it's a GoPro type cam he's wearing as a bodycam. In any case, he's either a bad shot or a great shot!

    Good point, hadn't thought of archery. Still, drip the camera and the bow, and get two hands on the pistol. You can pick up your equipment later.
