I Just Renewed my LTCF

Renewed in blue Delco this past week. Was in and out in under ten but told it will be about two weeks to process after which I will receive a letter in the mail notifying me I have to go back to pick up. Not a one-stop like some of the red rural counties but not Philly BS and wait time either.

Actually Phila has gotten much much better. They use the online application, I had my approval within 24hrs. Then you make an appointment to pick up license. That one was two weeks for an open time. (That's not Phila, just volume.) Went to pick it up, waited in line, because people were just showing up, once in about 5 minutes to process. No extra questions, show your ID, get your picture taken, it's printed, out the door. Only issue is minimal parking around the location.

No more long waits, no interviews, no fingerprints, no extra letters of reference.

I wonder if the "facial recognition" aspect of getting your photo taken could be challenged. (successfully)

I don't see how it has any bearing on your LTCF, or how that info helps - other than to gather more data than they need.
All they NEED is your photo on a CARD to look at when its produced.

I just renewed last fall, the pic is almost the entire upper half of my body, and the
exposure is so light I can barely see the right side of my face. But they took the
pic so it must be OK with them.

Yeah that's the same experience I had, the worst part was trying to park since they moved the office

It just seems that the "facial recognition" photos is not what anyone signed up for.
It's sort of like setting the price at say $50 vs what they are legally allowed to charge.

This is really fucked up. Now I have to decide if I'll ever be able to carry in the future.
