    Default Remington 30

Anyone ever hear of a Remington 30 express 30-06 carbine PSP marked from 1927? Anything crazy special?

Thanks. Not a rifle I’d usually be interested in but I like the PSP stamping on stock. Lol.

    Cruzans:

The PSP wasn't "PSP" in 1927, it was the "Pennsylvania State Constabulary" from 1905 to 1937. If it's stamped "PSP," or the marking says "Police," it could be that the rifle wasn't marked "PSP" until after the organization was renamed in 1943. Or it's a fake.

Interesting. I was curious about authenticity of PSP in 1927 ish! thanks! Weird to find another example on line with same marking but the "D" numbers a little different? I guess there could have been something else PSP ( Some State Prison, or something else ).

Friend just sent me another one that sold on Morphy Auction in 2016 - same marking - sold as PA State Police rifle. Interesting.

Are the fonts the same? I really like the looks of that rifle and from the production numbers it is pretty rare so I hope some faker didn't mess it up.

Is there much of a premium for a police rifle?

I think Police marked items are hit or miss. Some add value, some not so much. More of who wants one bad enough - lol.
