Default ATF sending letters to purchasers of W.O.T. FRTs

A friend got one today. Looks like the maker supplied ATF with their customer info.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Well, what did it have to say? Inquiring minds would like to know.

FIFY ... Hopefully. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

I'm really disappointed that everything my friends own, they buy second hand for cash.

I think WOT stands for "wide open throttle" or something similar (that's the manufacturer).

FRT stands for "forced reset trigger". Essentially the bolt carrier pushes the trigger back to the reset position, so if you put light pressure on the trigger, you end up getting simulated automatic fire.

It*s been happening for almost a year now. There have been lots of YouTube videos about the letter, a couple showing agents showing up at house and lots of people giving advice about what to do.

Here is a video with two lawyers talking about what do to if they show up at your house looking for your trigger. They talk about if they have a warrant and if they don*t. Most pertinent info starts around 5 minutes.

My instructions and policy are to not open the door for anyone we don't know and shoot any who force entry.
