Ammo checker
I reload a ton of pistol ammo and I found the pistol version of this to be very helpful since some of my guns can be ammo finicky. They make a couple rifle versions but for me I would just rather buy the specific caliber for the rifle I want to check.
The pistol version of this is only $29 so well worth the price to me since it has the major handgun calibers I use regularly.

Re: Ammo checker
I use them for reloading any semi-auto round. Rifle and pistol.

Re: Ammo checker
Funny that this should come up now. I just went through and checked 800 rounds of Freedom Munitions Re manufactured 9mm that I had purchased years ago. I had one round that wouldn't chamber and two that jammed after firing at the range.
Came home and took the barrel out of my G19 and used it to check the rest of the lot. I found 7 more of the 800 that would have given me problems. I sent a note to Freedom and haven't heard back.

Re: Ammo checker
I*ve been reloading pistol rounds over 30 years and never used one of these. I can see them being somewhat useful for rifle, but if you have a good set of dies and follow the reloading manual data you shouldn*t need it for straight wall cases, just my opinion.
Today was a good day!

Re: Ammo checker
I have one that I use after a setup and then randomly for pistol rounds. I use a case gauge for rifle rounds though and check every one.

Re: Ammo checker
Cute but your dismounted pistol barrel will serve just as well. Plus it's free and it stores itself!

Re: Ammo checker
I have a CZ 75B Shadow. Great pistol! Best trigger I've found on ANY handgun even custom 1911. So far it has eaten every commercial ammo I've fed it, but i still don't have things dialed in right for my reloads. S&W 986 Pro eats anything.
