Never run across anything like it before.
I'm thinking I'm some sort of moron because I can't figure out why the strap just loosens, and won't stay in place because the buckle slides freely in BOTH directions!

If you know what I need to replace them, I would happily do so because this is useless if you need to put it on over something like a jacket after you've already "set" it for wearing with just a T-shirt.

Edit: I'll poke around in my box of surlpus junk. I had ordered a bunch of military straps/buckles from an ebay seller for dirt cheap when I had planned to make my own rig. Have to see if any have the same width buckles.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

The only time ive had buckles slide both directions is if they were webbed wrong, but i watched their video and have no idea why they would pick those buckles. Heres aanother cheap option

I didn't want to start another thread about this as it seems to fit in here.

I just got an add from LA Police Gear regarding some new items. I've been eyeballing two new packs/bags from 5.11 and wondered if anyone has any experience with either, although they appear to be brand new.

I'm not sure if you could add some rifle/pistol mag pouches to the first bag or not. I do a lot of hiking and they seem like a cheaper version of some of the Hill People Gear stuff. I could never make myself spend that much on a bag, but maybe now.

    Any thoughts?
