    Default S&W M&P15 + eotech A++++

    I've had my S&W M&P15A for about a month now. had it out once...been way to busy working. Anyway I picked up a eotech 512 last night and got to take it out and have some fun today.

    Wow, i am so pleased. This makes both eyes open shooting a breeze. Took 2 small adjustments to sight it in. after that it was dead on. I am getting fist sized groups at 100 yards with wolf 55gr and the sun blaring in my eyes.

    So to finish up, both thew s&w 15 and eotech come highly recommended from me!!

    Thats good. Glad to hear it.
    Some people prefer the Eotech and some the Aimpoint.
    I have never used an Aimpoint, so I can't verify, but I have two Eotech's, and I love them. The S&W was a good choice too.
    Congrats.

    Keep shootin,

    BTW, pics of the rifle are always appreciated.
    I see that you are new to the forum, so welcome.
    But not posting pics is a forum foul.....lol

    Thumbs up Re: S&W M&P15 + eotech A++++

    Congrats on the Eotech 512.

    Like you, I made a couple small adjustments, and I am hitting a small steel plate at 200 yards consistently.
    No need for the magnifier.

    Here is a pic of my ADS AR-15 with Eotech 512.

    Nice......See, he gets it.
    Thanks for the pic.

    BTW, I think you would be better off taking the carry handle off, mount the Eotech to the flat top and add a flip up rear sight.
    But if it is comfortable for you, then cool. That is a little too high for me, big adjustment.

    busa dave -- congrats and welcome.

    bender---remember, you get what you pay for. For a real shtf gun, i would not skimp on cheap optics. They are okay for your "toys" but for your go to gun---not so much.
