In the basketball incident, the alleged shooter was a prohibited person (felon). So the scumbag media is lumping a criminal with an illegally possessed gun in with people who were too quick on the trigger.

Point taken, but if I were a prohibited person and was in a situation where I truly feared for my life and a gun was handy, I'd use it to save myself and let a jury decide my fate. In this case, his felon status is irrelevant to the fact it his actions were completely reckless and unnecessary and disproportionate to the matter at hand much like the other recent bad shoots, hence the "lump in."
