Does anyone fill out the warranty card??
When you buy a new gun, do you fill out the warranty registration card?
I just bought a new RRA AR15 and haven't sent in the registration card yet. I like keeping all the original paperwork together including the warranty registration card (I'm German ). I didn't see anywhere to register a new gun on RRA's website, so I guess I have to fill out the card and mail it in.
I know that with Sig, you can register a new gun on-line and save the registration card.

I fill them out. I know S&W used to give you free cleanings and maintenance checks if you registered.

Re: Does anyone fill out the warranty card??
It depends..
If its a firearm I can easily get parts for or fix myself - no. If parts are rare or difficult firearm to work on - yes.

Re: Does anyone fill out the warranty card??
I never fill them out. The Magnusson-Moss Act states that I don't have to to receive warranty service.
Filling out the card for most companies amounts to free market research, and a means for them to sell your address so you can receive more junk mail.

Exactly.
Keep your receipt. That's the only paper that's of any importance.
Sure, it makes it easier for them to contact owners if a recall should arise, but warranty cards really just give them some marketing info.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Does anyone fill out the warranty card??
If you want to send a warranty and keep the original, why not photo copy the card and send that?
Just a thought.

Re: Does anyone fill out the warranty card??
I used to send them in, but not any longer. Once they started asking me my age, the size of my family, what magzines I read and how much I make, it became obvious it was marketing 101. I keep the receipt which contains all the info I need.
