New on the forum and new to PA

Hi,

First of all: This is a great website! I've learned a lot from reading it and following links.

My wife and I have just moved to PA and we've been talking about getting a pistol and I also would like to get into it as a hobby as I have had a long time technical interest in weapons.

After a lot of searching on the web I have yet to find a pistol club close to Newtown PA. Ideally I'd prefer a place where my wife and I can rent a few different pistols before we go out to buy one. Any advice would be great.

I'm on the other end of the state, so I don't know much about shooting facilities in your area. I, too, am a transplant, and I've found much useful information, here, on PAFOA.

Welcome to the neighborhood! I live on the southern border of Newtown and shoot at Classic Pistol in Southampton. Probably a 15 minute drive from you... they let you shoot pretty much anything, pistols, rifles, full auto, shotguns, you name it and are open 7 days a week.

Thanks for all the fast replies!

Classic Pistol in Southampton looks like a great place. It appears that they rent only to people that already own a gun. Is this because the LTCF is required? I was hoping to try some different guns before I actually buy one. It appears that they will suit me (as a beginner) well.

When I get settled a little better I might get back to you on your offer gunga :-)

I'm sure I'll have more questions but I'll post them as new Threads.
