3 months faster than I expected but that still means it took them about 6 months to do a damn NICS check.
There is NO reason why the shop can't collect the prints and run the check on the spot.
Yes, I know, I am preaching to the choir.

    Not terrible.
Do they send a hard copy, or just the electronic version?

There is no paper copy sent out for the E-file Form 1. Just print out the emailed version.

Reached out to my congressional representative's office last week because this is taking way too long compared to results posted on reddit. A constituent advocate from my rep's office got back to me today. The ATF informed my rep's office that this form 1 and the other I submitted in September are "delayed" by FBI/NICS, so now my rep is reaching out to the FBI to ask them what the deal is. I'm glad my rep's office is very responsive and looks into this. I've reached out to them a couple times over the past year, and I think they helped deliver results with the ATF.

Got the approval email this morning.

Later today I received an email from my congressman's office saying the FBI told them that multiple NICS background checks in my name were resolved. It seems my rep's inquiry did it. Three cheers for the office of Congressman Guy Reschenthaler!

Edit: And today, my PPSH-41 form 1 is approved. Nice!
