Default Anyone tried Google Chrome yet?

Just downloaded the beta of Google's new browser, Chrome (actually using it right now) ...seems pretty cool and DAYUM is it fast!

Figured I'd try it since Firefox has turned into a bloated nightmare and there's no WAY I would ever use IE.

    Anyone else tried it?

Yep, so far so good with the exception of the add-ons. I've become very used to the many firefox add-ons that are available, so I now find myself running two browsers most of the time.

I DL'd it a few months ago, but it was kinda lame. Maybe there's been some updates to the beta. I'll have to give it another look.

Yeah I can't live without the web developer toolbar so I will have to use FF for that

Yep, that's one of them that I miss... 'download embedded' is another, the logmein.com plug in, and of course, 'better gmail' is a must-have.

So for now, I use chrome for basic browsing where I just want fast page loads (news sites, shopping, etc.), and firefox for most other stuff, including typing this right now.

Tried it and I don't like it. It renders sites like Safari and I've found many sites that don't work well with it...

That's because it's based on the webkit like safari is.

I've grown too used to the greasemonkey and other add ons to fully switch away from firefox/ice weasel.

That's funny because the first thing I did was test all my sites. Since they are all tableless CCS sites (I do not use tables in my sites, period) I am always testing new browsers to see if there are any CSS rendering issues. Every site of mine I tested as well as my normal 'haunts' rendered perfectly.

I think I will use it for browsing, for development I ma stuck with FF

When they have a working Linux client, I plan to try it (though I haven't checked recently, it may be out by now). I could compile from source (provided the source is good), I just don't have the time/need/inclination at the moment.
