The majority of people interested expressed the weekdays to be an ideal time to meet. come as you are. Hopes are that this will lead to future events.

Can you imagine the response if I hosted an even where "CC is discouraged"?

I edited it. I have no issue with it. There was some conversation between some members about concerns about the first time we met and the possiblity of getting hassled. I agree with both sides. I am not really hosting this just cooridinating it.

I'm a little confused. Are you planning for a meet in Altoona or Philly?

I'd definitely be up for meeting in Altoona.

This was beginners mistakes on our part. We picked a place to meet. All agreed to it. And then realized that we had never bothered to contact the resturant to see if OC was OK with them.

Since plans were in motion, and when we did get a hold of them, he wasn't the best source of info. (Heck made a reservation, and never took our names. Duhhhhh) We thought lets make this a CC recommended event. Till we find out if they do have a problem with OC or not. Hate to have our first meet go badly.

We are learning and will make sure the next time that we ensure that the place we pick is OC friendly. But for now.... To ensure we don't have a problem with the owners. I for one will CC.

But that is just my two cents worth.
