Shooting in Blair county

saw this on the 11:00 oclock news
police cheif said it was an AK47 the reporter later called it an "assault weapon"

Logan Township Shooting

LOGAN TWP, BLAIR COUNTY ---Police are looking for a man who opened fire on a Logan Township home. Nearly two dozen rounds were fired at a house in the 600 block of Drexel Lane around 10:15 Saturday night.

Late Sunday evening an arrest warrant was issued for the alleged shooter.

Police are looking for 33 year old Joseph Olecki. He's believed to be driving a black ford F-150. It has a Pennsylvania license plate YTV-7328.

Police believe he has at least six assault rifles and several other guns. He's also believed to have more than 5000 rounds of ammunition.

Olecki has a history of violence. In 1994 he pleaded guilty on three counts of assault and served time in jail.

According to the arrest warrant, Olecki said he wouldn't go back to jail and he would take out anyone who got in his way.

Olecki is 5’6” and weighs 250 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

Police say he is heavily armed and extremely dangerous. Anyone who may have seen Olecki or has any information that could lead to his arrest is asked to contact police immediately.

So he served time in jail for violent crimes. Does that exclude him from owning firearms?

Yes, he stole 3 "AK-47 assault rifles and 2 AR-15 assault rifles" from a co-worker who was keeping them at their place of employment.

Well see if we had that 24hr reporting of stolen guns surely this would never have happened. If AKs and ARs were banned he wouldn't have been tempted to steal them. We all know those evil firearms have a siren song.

From what i heard, they caught him up on 31st street right at the bottom of mill run? damn thats less than a mile from where i work. (Damn luring evil rifles anyways) im just glad that no one got hurt or killed because it sounds like he was ready to do some real damage
