A friend needs to get rid of coyotes!!!

Any ideas on quick extermination?????

Never been hunting for coyotes myself, but I would think that any standard solution that is adequate for deer would also be more than adequate for coyote extermination.

17 hmr and .223 are both proper for yotes as you put it. I would use 223 because of the cost and little more punch, unless you need to worry about range in which case the 17 hmr will do well on a calm day. Extended range can be handle with 22-250. If you want to sight in your deer rifle though there is no such thing as over kill on varmints.

If your friend is interested I will come get rid of several. If they are there I will call them in. I hunt @ night with an electronic caller, a .223, and 12ga for close up. 2 man job, one is the shooter the other is the caller/light man. You can get several in 1 night. Foxes too!

If you don't want the coyotes, I will take them, just don't blow too big a hole in them.

You could try trapping them too, but it takes some knowledge to trap them. I'm not up for long drives every day to check traps, so I can't do it, but I could show you how to prep and set traps and what to use for lure and etc. Coyotes are smarter than foxes though, so any knowledge I have is from experience in trapping foxes, and as it is by itself may not be effective for multi coyote trapping. However I have a super set that some people have had success catching coyotes with and I have had excellent success making red foxes dumber than dumb with...( oh yeah and I could lend you a video on yote trapping, but its for dry western Kansas dirt LOL- so you have to do some extra for rainy PA)
