any info on Clayton's in Willow grove
My buds go there and say it's OK but I wanted to get some input from anyone who's been there and done business with them. Thanks

Re: any info on Clayton's in Willow grove
I bought a few guns there a while back. The prices seemed good, at that time.

Personally I find thier prices high, and the staff rude. If your going up to Clayton's you might as well go to Tanners in Jamison, PA at 2301 York road.

I stopped there just last week, for the first time in 6 or 7 years (they were in a different location back then). I only stayed 5 minutes, but I thought the selection of used guns was VERY good.

Re: any info on Clayton's in Willow grove
I have dealt with Clayton's for 17 years. They are good guys, they just treat everybody as if they've known them for a long time. (Including smartass comments.)
They will talk to you all day if they are not too busy. They just don't try to shove anything down your throat. I think they assume you don't need help if you don't ask for it.
Plus, they do have a BIG selection of long guns as well as handguns.
Having said all that, the guys at Tanners are good people too.
BTW, they are on 611 now. On the right hand side if your are going north. About 1/4 mile before the south end of the Naval Base.Last edited by rady8um; March 17th, 2007 at 09:36 PM. Reason: location

I was in there today ( off 611) . They are moving everything around in the store. This is because they are building a seven lane range in the back of the store. Hope all goes well with that. They say it should be done in 2 months.

Re: any info on Clayton's in Willow grove
Years ago, when they were in the other building, I went in to buy 40 round Uzi mags. They quoted me a price, and in conversation I mentioned that I had a good Uzi barrel shroud that I didn't need. The guy at the counter expressed interest, and we agreed that he'd buy it the next day for $40 when I came in to buy the mags.
Next day, same guy, tells me the 2 Uzi mags went up in price by (you guessed it) $20 each from the price he quoted the day before, which would give him the barrel shroud for free.
I've never given those rat pricks another dime of my money, and that had to be 15 years ago. I share this story every time I see a thread asking for experiences at Clayton's. Enjoy that shroud, pal; I hope I've warned away thousands of dollars in potential customers. Karma is a bitch.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: any info on Clayton's in Willow grove
About 15 years ago my wife bought me a nice Taurus revolver for Christmas. She went to Claytons and was treated like crap. She left and went to Tanner's.Tanner's has sold my family a lot of guns since then. Fatass over at Claytons can sit on his stool and be a smartass for the rest of his life for all I care. he is a worthless slug.
It pays to be nice to folks, and he isn't. Maybe he has been nice to somebody, once, over the years. Do you want to take the chance and hope you will be the second person he didn't treat badly? Especially since Tanners is just another ten minutes up the road?
