Default Looking for an open carry holster.

I am looking for an "open carry" holster that has the gun release located between the holster and your body. I have seen several that have the release on the outside of the holster that is exposed. I feel that the exposed release might be a little less secure. Thanks.

I have a Safariland 6377 on order. It has a thumb break on the inside. If it ever arrives I'll let you know what I make of it.

I also would recommend this holster. They make it for just about any handgun, and it has a considerable degree of retention. Quality leather and affordable.
Open Carry: it's whats for dinner.

I have the safariland ALS. I love it. I reccommend getting it made for use with a belt as opposed to the paddle holster though....I have not been impressed with the way the paddle stays..or rather doesn't stay...in place these days. (mine is for a glock 26 but they make them for all sorts of pistols)

Yes, they are awesome, but they've been backordered for a while

I have this exact holster for OC, and I love the way it hugs my girlish figure.

For a leather holster, it does not "squeak" much, compared to other leather ones I have had.

I just ordered the FlatSider Paddle XR20 from akerleather.com (through CopQuest) for my 92FS. It's similar to the DeSantis, but it attaches onto the belt with loop attachments rather than a belt-slide style.
