Re: taurus 45 24/7 jamming?
Give the following a try:
clean and re lubricate the pistol. Pay extra attention to the barrel chamber and the area around the extractor.
clean the magazines both inside and outside. Do not lubricate the inside of the magazine.
check your grip on the pistol to make sure that you are not doing whats called 'limp wristing' as a less than frim grip can cause failures to feed.
have someone else shoot the pistol and see if they are having the same issue. if yes then a better clean out of the pistol or new magazines or ammo may be called for.
if they are not getting jams then its a grip issue.
give this video a try.............

What exactly is happening in the "jam". Won't feed? Won't extract?

Re: taurus 45 24/7 jamming?
i tried cleanin it and it jams for him and me and i know how to shoot a gun so its not the grip. it will fire like 2 or 3 rounds then the bullet gets stuck in the feeding chamber it opens the gun like the mag is empty but its not just a bullet lodged in the feed part. i dont know. guns brand new. my 9mm never had this prob.

some semiauto's can be bit of jam-O-matic when they are new, and needs broken in.
My M&P9C for instance, it jammed alot when it was new. FTE mostly.
Now count is over 700rds, and throughly broken in, cleaned, and oiled, its dependable as my other M&P.Audemus jura nostra defendere

Maybe. Some profiles feed better than others.
What you're descibing can be caused by many reasons including a gun that is just too tight or has a tight extractor. The round begins to chamber, but the gun won't go fully into battery since the slide stalls when the casing tries to slide up under the extractor. Is that accurate?

Re: taurus 45 24/7 jamming?
The fact that it is brand new means little other than it pisses people off when they spend their hard earned cash and have problems with a new purchase.
I bought a brand new Kahr P9 Covert from a gun shop at $500+. Since I had no 9mm ammo, I was dry firing the pistol, resetting the system and getting the feel for the trigger reset. I realized there was a double reset, the first of which did nothing.
I called the supplier who had no other pistols like the one I bought so exchange was out. I was told that Kahr CS was very good with a pretty fast turnaround so sent it back, they fixed it, i had it back in about 8 or 9 days and they completely replaced a lot of the trigger system. I trust it completely as a carry gun, primary and BUG.
You may just have to run a few hundred rounds through it. Try different ammo.
I know you said you are good with guns but I have seen people change their grip and relax a bit as they fire numerous rounds out of the same mag, essentially going back to the limp wristing of the gun.
Make a point of concentrating on grip during the whole shot string and see if there is a difference.
Good luck with that.
let us know what the end problem turns out to be.
