    awesome!
    good read.
"The rifle is the weapon of democracy. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military. The hired servants of our rulers. Only the government-and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws." (Edward Abbey, "The Right to Arms," Abbey's Road [New York, 1979])
I have my rifle. Do you?

"When I called I told them I had 2 pounds of pressure on a 3-pound trigger, and they might want to get someone down here before one of us sneezed," said Woodling, 47.

Letting the police know your armed and able does indeed get a quick response. I've had two incidents inwhich my firearm was present. Didn't have to draw but I let the cops know via cell that I was armed. Both situations got fast attention and ended as I wanted them to. The police gave me a nod of approval both times.
    Kudos to the father/son self-defenders!

Seemed strange that the small game hunter had his shotgun loaded with buckshot. Maybe he keeps it in his vehicle just in case. Or perhaps the "journalist" got it wrong.

In the eyes of " journalists" any shot shell is "buckshot".......
