Re: Threaded semi auto Rimfire thoughts?
I have a 10/22 takedown, standard with ultralight barrel, and the m&p all with threaded barrels. I grab the standard 10/22 with the light barrel 9 times out of 10. It's the most accurate and lightest of the bunch so easy decision.
The only times the takedown mattered to me was traveling, I leave it assembled 99% of the time.

Re: Threaded semi auto Rimfire thoughts?
I ended up buying a 10/22 takedown model 11112. It is a tapered barrel with a flash hider on the end.
Just ordered a Magpul backpacker stock, bx trigger (although I'll probably put that in my standard 10/22 and pull the kidd trigger out of that), automatic bolt release, and backpacker optic mount.
Not having to buy magazines or spare parts kind of tipped the scales. Plus I've never seen or heard of a 10/22 having any sort of catastrophic failure that wasn't easily fixed.
As a side note, what is up with Ruger cranking muzzle devices on so tight? I have padded aluminum jaws and definitely had to put a bit more pressure than i expected to get the flash hider loose.

Any sign of a LocTite on the threads? There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Tac sol sbx barrel. Add the can without adding length, it keeps it from being a sbr or dealing with pistol braces. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1016656526
