SKS safety catch spring

I broke the safety catch spring on my Chinese SKS about 2 years ago. (the safety itself still works it just doesnt stay put) Anybody know how hard it is to replace that or about how much it would cost to get it fixed at a gunsmith? I know where to get the part Im just a bit cautious about playing with the trigger group like that in case I put things together the wrong way.

i think you can get a whole sks trigger group for like 25 dollars might be worth looking into it. a smith would probably charge more than that to fix it. check on price of a trigger group first i could be wrong haven't looked in a while. also i do believe yugo ones fit just the trigger gaurd is machined diffferent looks wise

last i saw, they were more like $40-60, btu id still agree that that would prob be your best bet.

there's really not much to the tg if you know what your doing, but if you dont know the propper procedure, it could be a eral pita. add to that the trying to get the right spring, paying shipping, ect..... like i said, imo, easier to replace the group, especially if you are not sure of yourself to do the work on the tg.

wow they a bit higher than i thought but yeah still possibly cheaper then taking it to a smith and all i dont know hoe to change the spring but the whole group is like a 2 min. swap and you will have the old one as a spare if ever needed oor for numbers matching if numbers are on the trigger group
