REALLY Crappy experience... Thunderflix.com
I went to the Reading show yesterday to try to find some EBR and AK parts, magazines, etc. and more info on AKs. One booth was being run by this person who owns WWW.THUNDERFLIX.COM and was selling various videos to include the AGI Gunsmithing videos and they had the AGI AK vid. I took a quick look at the rest of the videos that he had and nothing else grabbed my attention so I took it up to pay for it. The price was marked $23.98 so I had my money out and was ready to pay for it. Being honest, I would have paid just about anything that it had been marked but I saw this as a deal.
The guy starts to ring it up and then he tells me, "I'm sorry, I can't sell this to you at this price, it's mis-marked and should be $35.00."
I told him, "I'm sorry about that but according to the law you have to sell it to me for the price as marked, anything else would be considered bait and switch."
He started giving me grief and said that there was no way that he was going to let me have the video for the price as marked. I asked for his business card and told him, after he gave it to me, that I was going to contact the AGs office and spread the word. I will NOT be doing business with this person ever in the future. I thought you guys and gals should know.Bill USAF 1976 - 1986, NRA Endowment, USCCA

Make sure to also contact the BBB. In my two or three retail mishaps, they've been the ones that make the difference.

Re: REALLY Crappy experience... Thunderflix.com
True that... it's the cost of doing business... a loss of $12 on the video due to a mistake on his part is well worth the good customer will built up by honoring the price.
So now the businessman saved his $12 bucks, but lost at least one customer and just got who knows how many dollars worth of bad publicity.

Update - REALLY Crappy experience... Thunderflix.com
I just sent an email to MAAC informing them of the situation. I will post any replies that they send so that we can all see what kind of promoters we are dealing with.

Re: REALLY Crappy experience... Thunderflix.com
sounds like the guy needs to take "customer relations 101" to me...
$11 is clearly not worth alienating a potential repeat customer...who may also spread the word and, thus, alienate many other potential customers.
if it had been me, i would have sold it to you for the price marked without even batting an eye. i may have explained that the price was actually wrong, just so you didn't go out and tell a bunch of other people the price and have them come to me expecting the same price, but i certainly would have added "but that's the priced marked on it, so that's the price you will pay."
