    Default 7.62 NATO and DPMS

I just purchased a DPMS LR-308 that says its chambered in .308. Can I fire the 7.62 NATO ammo out of this rifle or are there chamber issues like the .223 and 5.56 NATO?

You're fine. .308 chamber spec is tighter than 7.62 chamber spec, so generally speaking, a .308 rifle can safely fire either, but a rifle that has a loose 7.62 chamber might not be safe to fire .308 winchester due to thinner brass.

Thank you for the info, didn't really want to take the chance of blowing up a brand new rifle. That would've stank.
