I was asked for I.D. in The Milford Walmart a few times. The reson I was given was that they can only sell pistol ammo to Pa. residents. The man told me that a lot of out of state people come here to buy ammo they can't buy in their home state.

But Ive got to know some of the gun counter guys there pretty well so it's never a hassle anymore. I just walk up and ask for my brick and they pull it out. I am ashamed to admit that for my SKS I always buy Wolf ammo. Not that I dont want to buy American, it's just that I like to shoot a lot with my SKS and can't afford even Winchester white box for a whole day at the range.
Likewise, I can't say that I 've bought much from Wally....22's are cheap just about anywhere. For the SKS, M-44, .223, any of the 9MM's or even the Makarov...I just check online and with the FLL discount It's not worth using the gas....As far as dirty ammo,Ya all clean um.....Don't cha?

I just bought a box of .357 ammo about 2 hours ago. No ID check, just paid for it an the rest of my stuff and walked out. Thats total bullshit if they say "company policy". I won't buy ammo at a place that asks for ID.

I usually buy my ammo from the walmart in Washington, PA. They always ask if it's for a handgun or rifle.

And they have always asked for my Drivers License.

If you watch the regester it will ask if the customer is 18 or 21, depending on how you answered the "rifle or handgun" question.

At least thats the way it is at my wallmart.

Walmart/Dicks always asks for ID for some reason. I can pass for mid twenties, don't even get carded at some bars.

Thats why I like gun stores, they don't ask stupid questions.

Hell, recently I found out you have to be 18 to buy matches at Giant!

I have been only buying ammo there with cash for a while now. Dumb arse kid said he needed to see my license to buy ammo..... I'm freaking 50 with gray hair, refused and told him to call his manager.

Manager said it's company policy.... showed them my "license" to carry firearms in PA. He approved it.

Ummm Those people at the H-burg walmart are dumb. One of the guys told me that it was state law not to sell ammo past 10pm. Which there is no law and i asked him to show ethe policy or the law. I raised hell and got a manager, and after 15 min of arguing with him he finally sold me 100 rds of 9mm. I told him there was no such law and he said he would find it and show it to me, so i got his contact info and went back in a few days and he could not produce no law, and at this meeting i told him because there is NONE. He said its walmarts policy to help reduce crime....BS....so i got upset again and asked that since i was buying ammo late at night that they were profiling me as some sort of criminal? He didnt want to answer that question. The whole time we were having this conversation i was CC but printing pretty bad and he kept staring at my gun, which at one point it was so bad i had to tell him i wasnt going to shoot him and to relax. I also asked him to produce this policy of selling ammo after 10pm, also something he couldn't produce. I got his DM's number but got busy with other things and school and never got a chance to call, this was about 7ish months ago BTW. But on a brighter note everytime i go in there after 10pm and want ammo and they tell me know i just go and find that manager and he sells it to me. I have never been asked for a license to buy ammo there though. Sorry Rant!
