Re: "license" to buy ammo at Wal-Mart
I don't recall ever being carded for ammo, but they always either walk me up to the front to pay for it, which is odd because they have a cash register in their department or walk with me to the door....

Re: "license" to buy ammo at Wal-Mart
I don't buy ammo in NJ any more. Wanted to buy a ton of ammo from a local store, but couldn't because I wanted 9mm ammo, and if you buy ammo that can fit into a pistol you need to show your FID card. Once they asked me for ID I left and went to DE. No tax and no showing of IDs. I'm glad I live so close to the river!

Re: "license" to buy ammo at Wal-Mart
It depends on who is at the register. Some ask for ID others don't. Was at the Hazleton Walmart last night for 22 ammo kid did not ask for ID but said I had to pay there not up front. Those that have asked for ID I refuse and they don;t say anything else.

Wal-mart?
I've never had that problem supporting my local gun shop. PLus, my ammo is cheaper (yes, you read that right).

I don't need to show my license.... because I'm bitter.

I think about 1/2 of the dozen times I've bought ammo at walmart in Exton they've carded me. And I look late 20's.

Re: "license" to buy ammo at Wal-Mart
I have been lead to belive through converstations at WM that it is their policy to card for any handgun ammo purchase.
The fact that not evryone at every store follows corporate policy is not a suprise.
