If there is training you guys want, most schools will allow you to host the class at your facility or shooting range/gun club whatever. Try giving different schools a call and talking to them. Whats the worst that can happen? They can say no......

^ Dunkleburgers is supposed to be opening a range over near Jiffy Lube / Shoprite. The latest update is they are looking in the August timeframe.

If so, this is great news for us in the area.

Hey, found this - I'm thinking of possibly taking it as a refresher since it's been a while, if I can scrounge up the $$. I know it's not exactly our neck of the woods - but not a terriable drive either and it's way closer than Pittsburgh etc.



This National Rifle Association course covers basic pistol shooting skills and firearms safety. It is designed for both beginning pistol shooters or as a refresher for those with some experience.

Date: Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Instruction:
National Rifle Association certified instructors will teach this course. You will receive a pistol instruction book to keep, professional classroom instruction, and hands on experience with individual attention to develop and improve your pistol competency.

Schedule:
Pre-registration is required.
Course starts promptly at 1:30 PM. Class finishes at 6:00 PM.
Classroom instruction: (approximately 3 ½ hours)
Range time: (approximately 1 hour)

Firearms:
One goal of this course is to familiarize you with a pistol (semi-automatic or revolver) that you may own. You are encouraged to bring your own pistol. If you do not own a pistol you may use a loaner pistol (.22 caliber pistols may not be used at the range). Call for a list of acceptable calibers.

Cost: A registration fee of $99 covers the cost of instructional materials, 50 rounds of ammunition, loaner pistols, hearing, and sight protection. An additional fee of $10 applies to those without a valid PA pistol permit. Make check payable to “Tripoli’s Triggers”.

Seems like a slight rip-off to me. $10 extra fee if you dont have a Pa "pistol permit" it's a ccw permit not a pistol license. The class is a NRA Basics class. Basically a familiarization.. Well i guess you get what you pay for....
