Which version do you have? I made one up for my nephew with a fixed barrel in "skeet" and magna-porting/pigeon porting. Shoots very well, smooth and quick, great balance.

    Without seeing yours:

The 1200 Winchester came out in the early 1960's as a replacement for the model 12.

Very early 1200's had steel receivers, most of them are alloy with a black finish. The 1200 was produced with many different fixed choke barrels, poly choke barrels and later with Win-Choke barrels. Some of the older guns have plain barrels while most newer ones had a vent rib bbl.

Most 1200's have a walnut checkered stock, older ones had a red 'W' on the pistol grip cap.

The 1200 has a cheaper sister....the 120 Ranger. The 120 Ranger was the same gun with a cheaper birch stock.

The Winchester 1200 operates with a bolt head that rotates and locks up into the chamber. When fired, the bolt unlocks and the bolt and slide assy begin their rearward motion, making the 1200 a very fast pump shotgun.

The 1200 was later updated and became the 1300 that was produced until Winchester closed it's USA plant.

1200's generally don't sell for a lot of money. $150-275 is ball park.

Old model 1200s with steel receivers, red W grip caps bring more money.

The 1200 "trench gun" or military model bring the most money today.

I have a Winchester 1200 with a vented barrel about 26” long and interchangeable chokes.

I think they were made from the late ‘60s till the late ‘80s. Mine is very well balanced and nice to shoot. I used to shoot a lot of trap in the ‘80s and early ‘90s with it and probably put close to 10,000 rounds thru it.

I just striped it and re-blued it after not taking it out for about 10 years. I shot 100 clays last week and still like the feel!

Not sure, but I think the 1300 barrels are interchangeable with it.
