    Default Spotting Scopes....

I have a nice NcStar 20x-60x-60mm Spotting Scope, it also has a battery operated laser pointer on it too. Has or does anyone in here have / had / use one of these? I got it as a gift a couple of years ago.

Do you mean use that particular spotting scope, or spotting scopes in general? I have some experience with spotting scopes, but I don't really know anything about that particular spotting scope.

I meant this particular spotting scope. I have never heard of anyone or have I seen anyone that had this particular scope.

Not with this spotting scope, but with that brand's firearms sighting devices (red dots, scopes) Have had bad experiences with them. The red dot fell apart under recoil, and I could never get the scope to hold zero.

It was truly a case of you get what you pay for... I won't buy their products anymore because of these experiences.

although, since a spotting scope will not be subject to the rigors of recoil, you shouldn't have a problem.

I do realize the problems with their rifle and handgun optics. I have read nothing but bad news with those particular products. I have a tripod mounted spotting scope and I really do like it, it was a gift from a friend of mine out west. He bought a new spotting scope and gave me his old one.
