    Default Friendly Reminder.

If your new $700 pistol needs another $200 worth of "tuning" to be reliable you need to sell it and buy something that doesn't suck.

    Good lord.

    That is all.

I may regret this... but what exactly do you want your 700$ gun to do? Other than knowing it goes bang everytime? Maybe i'm just ignorant as i have yet to own a "bad" firearm.

I shot a $1600 Springfeild TRP that couldn't make it through a box of ammo without jamming 3 times. I also shot a $2200 les bear that was, truthfully, very nice. I shot it after a bunch of guys during a practical shooting match bitched that my times were 12 seconds lower than theirs because i was shooting that "puny 9mm" so i ran the course of fire with their 1911 and smoked them by a similar time frame. So much for spray and prey.

The frame rail seperation was on a limited run of glocks about 10 years ago. Generally when the frame rails broke, the gun continued to function despite the failure. Glock fixed all the defective guns.

Tell that to my friend who just bought a brand new glock 19 after 900 rounds it broke and didnt keep running. i've had bad guns from every manufacturer and on a whole my 1911's run great i also have a H&K socoom mk23 that had a problem sent it back and it runs great with over 21,000 rounds through it now. we can argue all day. but the point is why do people need to try and imposse their choice as the only one on other people, and say thier gun is better cuz they own it. thats what i'm getting at, as well as most others who have responeded.

Only if you can keep them from getting dirty, and you use a shitload of lube.

As a tool I can trust my life with....I can't find anything as reliable as a Glock.

As something to go to the range and blast paper with.....there's other guns.
