Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
I have a cartridge in my SW 9 compact and using it for 3 months for 15 minutes daily. Went to the range target at 7 yards and got a perfect 8 inches down below the target and left 4" WTf???

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
Apparently I misunderstood the post I was responding too. While you *can* use the iTarget system with a variety of target styles, and also set it up at a normal range, rather than at home, it does NOT work in conjunction with live ammo or provide analysis of live hits.

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
Thanks guys! Somehow i missed the itarget pro system. It is cheap enough. Ordered that and the laser ammo targets 3 pack... Plus a spare laser since most of the reviews talk about how great everything is until the laser dies.

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
I have been at the range for 2 to 3 times per month, shooting 200-300 rounds. I started to shoot one hand to develop my grip and at 7 yards I'm at times doing good handing the recoil, ( but it's easy to hit the target if aiming 2 inches to the right). I practice holding a 7# db & 10# db holding the bell as a gun, both each hand.
Problem with the support hand fitting slipping from the hand.

For those considering here's another I've come across https://www.strikeman.io/products/shop not too pricey. Trying to figure out how this would work with a revolver. Should be no problem in .38/.357, but $59/ laser cartridge is a bit steep.

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
pink rhino with laserhit app and after much searching online i found one of their demo targets i could print.
combined with a tripod brace for the phone and a camera tripod i found in a closet, got a decent setup in the basement.
bonus is simply recording with the phone to make a video of shots to replay slowly to see just what your hand is doing to that laser impact.
the pinkrhino was like $30, everything except the phone mount i had. phone mount was like $12, screws into tripod standard thread.
too damn expensive and cold to shoot precious live ammo anymore. There is no way to make it out alive...

Re: Do any of you use a laser training system?
iTarget notes that you will either need to roll the cylinder back after each shot, or purchase multiple laser bullets. You can get a discount on 5 or more, but it's still pretty pricey.
You can vary the distance between the phone and target just by adjusting the zoom on the camera. Even when using the laser round, you want the phone close to the shooter, so they can interact with the app while practicing.Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.
