Default Finding a holster for XD's...

I'm getting frustrated. Nobody carries holsters for an XD sub compact! I've already special ordered a crossbreed IWB but there's an 8 week wait for it. I also bought a used Hume IWB holster off another forum but I'm still waiting for it. I picked up some cheapie UM holsters to try that didn't fit so I returned them. I went to the Sportsmen's Warehouse today and tried out 2 other UM holsters since they didn't have anything specifically for my pistol. The guy swore to me up and down that a #12 for G26/27 would work but when I got home it didn't fit. Well, the ankle holster kind of fit but this things too big for that style and the IWB didn't have a chance against the huge trigger guard. Anybody have any other suggestions? I just want to carry the darn thing!

    Have you tried http://pistolgear.com/ ?

the people over at xdtalk.com love this site, I've done business with him and wouldnt think twice of ordering from there again.

Yeah, I've looked thru their site a few times. Thanks for the link though. I don't mind ordering one (I already have) but it would be nice if a retail store actually had some. You would think that XD accesories would start to become more readily available due to their increasing popularity. I'm just tired of not being able to carry unless I use the XD-Gear holster. Besides, it's always nice to see what you're buying in person instead of a 10kb picture.

Thanks for the link LorDiego; I just picked up the following.
    http://www.pistolgear.com/proddetail...od=18BTB&cat=7

Would anyone know where I can get high quality mags for the XD-40? They only seem to offer them in 12 rd capacities from the factory? Does anyone know if they'll offer higher capacities?

    Thanks.

FYI... I placed an order for CrossBreed QwikClip IWB for my XD9 Service in Nov. '06, and it's just been delivered on the 6th week. I was also told that it'd take 6-8 weeks.

mjd932, A serious lack of holsters is a common complaint for the XD. I found a leftover Mitch Rosen IWB holster for the XD at a recent gun show. It is a top quality holster as are all of Rosens products. On their website I see they have a new IWB holster for the XD, called the "CLP". The holster I have holds the XD-40 and the XD-45, both service models. Look to www.mitchrosen.com and let us know what you buy...Mike45

mjd932, Should have mentioned www.bearclawholsters.com if you are interested in kydex for your XD, a plastic-like material. Many swear by kydex so give them a look...Mike45
