Wow - $200! That is a great deal. I don't have the exact production break down numbers, but I believe there were a lot less 9mms than .45s made.
The rarest are the .38 Super BDAs.

I have the same one, but mine is a 9mm. To bad here in my country it is prohibited for civilians to have that caliber. I got it from my father, he was in the military, but since im not, laws prohibit me from having it, so i guess that is one gun for the box of memories, until authorities change the laws. I will post some pictures soon!

Sorry to hear about the laws you have to live by
Yours sound like a very special gun. I'd love to see pictures of it.

I'm not much into older guns, but I have to admit, that's a very purdy one. I wouldn't mind owning it.

Thanks! (I though this thread was dead forever ...lol)
The P220 and the early BDA's were both available in .38 Super. They bring quite a premium - no matter what condition they are in. The other really rare P220 that brings a premium is one chambered in 7.65 - 30 Luger.
I almost bought one off of the Sig Forum classifieds, but the pictures weren't very good and the price was high ($1,200.00)

The thing that makes the BDA's stand out over the later production "P" series guns is the polished blued flats on the slide. My pictures don't do the finish justice (as usual ). The early guns were truly works of art.

I have one of these as well. My grandfather used to run a gun shop and shooting range in New Orleans. He's still with us, but Alzheimer's is slowly taking him. Anyway, he thinks mine is either a '77 or '78, but claims that these were sold as a Sig and not a Browning. So, I'm curious about it all.

BTW, I have a Belgian Hi Power, 1938 Luger and W. German Walther all in pristine condition. I will have pictures up soon as I've just discovered this site. But I'm learning more about these and the other collectibles (rifles, shotguns, revolvers, etc...) in our collection.

I'm looking for more info on Sharps .45-70 rifle and the Action Arms Uzi. Thanks.
