H&R Pistol Question
Anyone know where the serial number is located on a Harrelson & Richardson 38 caliber, 5 shot, nickel plated, top break, small body revolver, most likely manufactured between 1880 and 1910? Model might be called The American. I've been told it should be between the grips, but it ain't there.

Re: H&R Pistol Question
I have a 6 shot H&R .32 top break, only number on it is on the left side of the frame UNDER the left hand grip. Have to remove the grips to see the #'s.
Other than that nothing on my gun is visible other than the stamped patent info on top of the barrel."Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775
