Best AR trigger?
Well, I love everything about my new AR except the trigger. What do you guys recommend for a nice replacement unit? Keep in mind, I'm a 1911 guy, so that's the kind of trigger I'm used to.

Re: Best AR trigger?
For the money, the RRA 2 stage is a steal and feels very close to the 1911 trigger. The next step up is the Jewell (I own 3), but it's only a 15% improvement for quite a bit more money.
After that it's Geissele.....and they aren't cheap.

Re: Best AR trigger?
I'll second the RRA National Match 2-stage trigger - it's just beautiful, and if you're coming from a 1911 background you'll love it. This trigger seems to sell in the $100 - $120 range.

Re: Best AR trigger?
RRA it is. Fairly easy to install? Looks like the RRA trigger says it's for a "large pin lower". I have an Olympic K16. Is the RRA trigger compatible?

Re: Best AR trigger?
I was on a budget and settled for the RRA 2 stage match, BUT, John of Seneca Arms recomended buying one through White Oak Armament. They get the RRA 2 stage match triggers and stone them and set the trigger pull to what ever pull you want and then check with an air gage. I bought one from them and it is nice. Its $120 (not much if any more than a trigger sraight from RRA) and they are great to deal with. If your interested...

Re: Best AR trigger?
Anyone know a cheap place to get them? Or a way (besides the 15 minute trigger job) to lighten a standard trigger until I can save the cash?
If I lighten the spring and chop the spur will that help?

Re: Best AR trigger?
I second the two stage trigger. But, make sure that you get the proper sized pins. Larger pins work for Colt models, and if on doubt, ask the manufacturer. If money is not an option for you, get a McCormick. Fantastic triggers.
