    Default tactical vs. practical

Here is a quick poll i think will be interesting. Are you the kind of person that likes to trick out your rifle, give it that "tactical" edge wherever you can?

    OR......
You a practical, I like it how it was originally designed with the iron sights, the more "practical" end.

    Or
there are the people who just dont know........

I myself am about the looks, and modern gear, so i trick out my rifles as much as i can! tactical for me!

    practical...

but what is practical? To me it is tools that do what I need them to do. attaching things thus adding weight just to be cool seems silly and useless.

Ok I just bought a Bushmaster 16M4ORC. I put in a holo sight and a bipod. perhaps later I might add a quad rail front if i decide I need more of what ever. AS this is a plinker, I don't think I need much more. iron sight if the holo goes belly up. A light and/or laser? I don't think so.

i'm a little more on the practical side. a little bit of tactical is cool, but only if it's going to make the gun a little more effective at what i intend to use it for.

"Tacticool" is for people who buy spinning rims, undercarriage lights for the cars, blinking lights for the cell phone antenna, LED beltbuckles that say "PIMP" and other types of utter, useless shit that serves no purpose other than make up for the subject's lack of coolness.

    Im all for practical. Git'R'Done!

tactical is practical. How practical is wood in a inhospitable environment? How practical are issue iron sights in the dark?

There's a lot of pseudotactical toys out there which are essentially rifle bling. Tactical accessories are not about "looking cool" they're about getting the job done better.

Practical. I can use iron sights in places most can't, point at the Minute of Enemy and fire. Usually first or second round will hit. .30 and .45 cal. will do it mostly everytime. I'm an old school taught person.

Who says tactical can't be practical?

Tacti-cool isn't practical, but tactical can be practical, depending on the situation.
