Further, everyone in that store was at risk from the lawless a-hole waving the gun around.

The 2 head shots would increase the chances of being charged, just like a solid home defense shooting using your registered MG would make most DA's want to charge you anyway.
Very surprised at the pa law. Would they rather you shoot him in the ass? Some laws (or DA's) we dont need.
That thought always ran through my head, if that were me in that situation, what would I do. A lot of times
I thought if it ever happened I'd walk away for fear of spending my life in prison for helping someone not get murdered.
Its sad I even have to think that way.

You'll have to pick one, "our eyes" or "normal people".

Not sure if that's funny or just plain mean.

Good shoot but room for improvement.

Because of how the two were standing, the head shot was the only shot to take. He couldn't have gotten center mass shots without having the guy turn towards him. Did he need more than one? Sure looked like it, the guy was still a threat until he hit the ground.

Shrug. We had a guy in Juniata County lead PSP on a 3 day chase where he stole multiple get away vehicles, to include at one point an (unoccupied) school bus. Eventually get cornered him and he wouldn’t put down the shotgun. Got nailed over a dozen times (.45 gap I think back then, maybe .40 s&w), and some 5.56.

Including being shot in the face. At least once.

He still lived to go to trial. Head shots are not guaranteed to be fatal.

As a tax payer, I was upset that the great expense of a trail and medical care. However after learning the effort PSP went to in an attempt to save the tax payer money, I had to re-evaluate my position. After all, they can only shoot until the threat is stopped.
