Legality on checking "non binary" just to fuck with their stats? After all, since there is zero science to backup the existence of anything but two genders, it has to be just "how you feel" at the moment...

I never think of myself as "binary"; I think of Tannerite as binary. The stars of Alpha and Proxima Centuri are binary. I think you could argue that if you aren't feeling "binary" then you must be "non-binary".

And what if you're in a dry spell, not getting any for a while?

What if you check "male" and you also check "binary"? Or if we all start checking "non-white/Cherokee" plus a few more?

I'm not at all comfortable with our government spending increasing resources on keeping track of the ethnicity and gender identity of us all. If the German people had opposed this in the 1930's, maybe the cattle cars would have sat unused.

So they can grab the purchaser’s info plus whatever he bought on the same page? Yep defacto registry which they aren't allowed to have.

BINARY: Something that can be broken into two categories is binary. Binary means something close to dual or double. You can remember what binary means if you know that bi- means two. Black and white are often set up as a binary, as are light and dark and good and evil.

Male set up as female, female set up as male. It can be argued that male and female have some of opposite in their makeup. For example, a male has nipples on the breasts.

Considering the definition of binary, to me, "non binary" seems to make no sense. onliest thing I can think of is sexless. Maybe someone could explain it?

In any case, I feel that ATF (or any government agency) accepting and going along with "non binary" is indicative of a lack of needed leadership.

How about a fourth option that states YES

GL - any standing for a lawsuit against the ATF for the easier registry change?

I'm sure there will be lawyers willing to raise money for an attempt, but the reality is that you'd have to connect the dots from "info on one page" to "ATF field agents capturing that info" to "info is computerized in violation of a statute".

If they went through the required public comment period, and can articulate a rational basis for the change, I doubt any court would strike it down. They could have obtained (and have been obtaining) the same info from the current forms with more work before this.
