Default Restored 1956 Remington 870 Wingmaster

Stock cut and fitted with limbsaver recoil pad, 13" LOP, Choate magazine extension, barrel cut to 20 inches, fiber optic clamp-on bead up front. I spent several hours cleaning and polishing the internals, refinishing the wood, removing rust and spot bluing, and this beautiful, classic fighting shotgun is the result. I still need a left hand safety because the one I got off of ebay didn't fit (imagine that ...) but otherwise, it's done and ready for the range.

Just beautiful! I still have mine that was bought in 1957 except that it has the corncob forearm but it is in pretty good condition for all those years. I think my dad paid around $85.00 for it when he bought one for each of us in Lancaster. His had the forearm like yours, sold it years ago. I still hunt with mine, never had to have any work done on it. Congratulations on a great job.

It is. Still not sure why so many people were outraged about it.

Thanks, guys! The finish is basically impossible to keep clean but it's definitely nice to look at.
