Damn Renington!

Out last night running some vermin out of my yard (4 legged) and armed with my 627 Pro .357. Fired 2 shots to encourage more alacrity in the animals departure and the revo jammed tight on for the 3rd shot. Cylinder wouldn't open, hammer wouldn't cock nothing!, very happy I wasn't facing a real armed opponent or an aggressive animal! Back in the house I had to use a hammer to get the cylinder open and found one of the R-P headstamped cartridges had a bullet that became unseated under recoil. This is 125 gr. factory Soft Point stuff. So now I'll be using 158 gr Winchester until I can re-crimp the R-P junk.

Had that happen with a 7 shot Taurus. 357. Not enough mass to the cylinder, heated up and expanded. Wouldn't turn or swing out for 5 minutes until it cooled down.

The only failure to fire i ever had was with a Remington cartridge. 30-06.

The ONLY factory ammo I won't use, (USA Company), is actually Winchester. I have had zero issues with RP ammo but Winchester.........wow. Mostly with their white box pistol s#*t but I had velocity disparities of 300-400fps with their Deer Season cartridges. The MV matched it's POA.
Part of the reason I load my own.

I don't use that much factory stuff. Typically only Blazer for 9mm in our club matches. Every thing else I reload. Though I do a supply of SD ammo for carry purposes.

Oh for the sake of all that’s holy, please, someone fix that spelling error! I’m stuck indoors and can’t get to a gun range, I just had neck surgery and now I feel like I am drowning, and every time I open PAFOA for a bit of relief, I have to see that SACRILEDGE!
